Q. What kind of space is needed for delivery of a container?
A. The container swings off either side of the truck, therefore we need at least 20 ft of width clearance and 16 ft height clearance where the unit is to be placed. Power lines and any other obstacles can affect where the container can be set.
Q. Do I need to prepare the site for the delivery?
A. The site should be fairly level and firm and there should be a minimum of 8 ft width and 20 ft length for the container. We can place your container on gravel, cement, pavement or the grass.
Q. How long can I keep the container?
A. There is a one-month minimum rental period.
Q. How much notice is needed for delivery of a container?
A. We require a minimum 3 - 5 day notice for both delivery and pickup of your container.
Q. What are the containers made of?
A. The containers are constructed out of 30 T. Corten steel, which is one of the strongest types available.
Q. Are the containers waterproof?
A. Yes, the containers are wind and watertight. They also have addtional ventilation. 2 vents are on each side of the container, whereas most containers have 1 vent on each side.
Q. How secure is my lock on the container?
A. Our containers are built with security in mind. A steel lock box conceals the lock and protects your belongings from theft and vandalism.
Q. Is there anything inside the container to keep my belongings from shifting?
A . There are tie down hooks on both sides top and bottom on the inside of the container to secure your belongings during transit.
Q. Are my belongings insured when they are stored in the containers?
A. You are responsible for insuring your belongings. Check with your homeowners policy.
Q. Is there anything that I cannot pack in the container?
A. Basically, any hazardous, illegal, explosive or flammable materials. Propane tanks should not be placed in the containers. Gasoline and oil should be drained from any equipment placed in the container.
TIPS:
Disassemble furniture for easier storage and moving. Remove legs from tables when possible, and tape hardware to the underside of the table so you don't misplace it.
